Lead Organizations
The Philippine Misereor Partnership Inc., is a social development and advocacy network of 250 members from faith-based groups, non-government organizations and people’s organizations grouped into 15 regional clusters all over the Philippines. PMPI is legally registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on 20 January 2004. The network was formed as a result of series of consultations among organizations supported by Misereor which discussed a model of cooperation, coordination and partnership between these Philippine social development organizations and Misereor.
Caritas Philippines is the humanitarian, development and advocacy arm of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP). Since its birth in 1966, it has been in the forefront implementing programs on poverty alleviation, sustainable agriculture, empowerment of women and children, and ecology protection. Its flagship program is “Alay Kapwa” (Offering of oneself to one’s neighbor), the Lenten evangelization and resource mobilization program of the Philippine Catholic Church. It also implement programs on good governance, peace building, agrarian justice, microfinance, and emergency response.
